Leah--I hope you're feeling better! I think you're right. The body definitely gives us physical cues when our lives get off-track. If you're feeling demotivated and sick and down about the bartending job, it may be time to seriously consider quitting. Are there other ways you could earn some extra income that might be more aligned with your goals?

My goals for this week are still focused on moderation and discipline, which I'm really striving to incorporate into my life:
1. No more than 3 alcoholic drinks this week
2. At least 4 cardio & 2 strength workouts
3. Get four good writing sessions in.

I've been bad about getting in here! Sorry!

I registered for the 3 day walk, so that goal is begun. Now I need to work on fundraising and training.

My husband changed his bartending night to Tuesday for Little league season, so that will be one night a week I have completely to myself.

Tonight, I plan to complete my client materials. I need to create the goal sheets that they will fill out and create the welcome package/forms. I sent my referral letters, so that was a big step.

I should probably listen to another marketing training as well. I need more marketing ideas!

Well, I must say that I listened to the RIGHT marketing call at the RIGHT time!

I learned about defining my uniqueness-my competitors are wedding consultants, marriage and pre-marriage counselors, even churches. How am I different? I know the answer to this, but I didn't put it in my brochure!

I also learned about compelling people to at least give me a try. I know divorce statistics, and I intended to look up the average cost of a wedding, but I hadn't thought about putting this in my brochure. I wanted to be light and exciting. Well, what drives people most? Probably the fear of spending all that money to end up in the wrong statistic. Going on my Brochure!!

I also learned about marketing to my specific targeted niche. It's time to buckle down and start making lists of Reception Sites, Gown Shops, Photographers, DJ's, Florists, and Wedding Planners in several metropolitan areas and CONTACTING THEM!! Time to get letter writing!

Holy cow, I have a lot of work to do. Good thing I've got uninterrupted Tuesday nights for a while!

I saw your emails, and I can't wait to see the new brochure. You sound so energized and positive about your progress--it's really awesome!

The website looks great--thank you for featuring me as Recommended Reading!!

It sounds like you've got a really great plan for marketing your business and getting the word out about your services. I think sometimes when we're on the right path living a purpose-driven life, the Universe starts to line things up for us (like your uninterrupted Tuesday nights). Keep up the great work, and just imagine what great surprises life has in store for you!!

So far, I'm doing really well with exercise, but struggling with my other goals. One day at a time...

Yes, I'm definitely feeling things line up. Now I just have to keep the momentum!! I have a lot of work to do.

Great job on the exercise!

Have you tried giving yourself a break prior to writing yet? If you are writing after work, it might be a good idea to allow yourself a TV show, or even just a little daydreaming on the bed while you change out of work clothes. Allow your mind to decompress a little before you head into another task. It will be work if you remain in your work mindset. Try to let go of that, and it will be more like the play it should be.

Also, setting your intentions on your commute home can be very helpful.

Okay, I'm working tonight, and we are getting some surprise visitors (my stepkids are spending the night, yay for daddy! But I don't get to see them really, boo for me!) so I can't come home at 3AM and make all sorts o' noise on the computer.

But, I do have some things that must be attended to this weekend, and hubby has little league practice twice during Saturday, so I'll have some alone time.

I need to write a welcome package for my clients. This is a basic sheet to get their information, let them know what I'll be doing for them, reminding them about getting me referrals, letting them know that the coaching relationship need not end at 3 months, and that it can be very long term and very prosperous, and a disclaimer stating that I'm not a therapist but will rush them off to one if they have a lot of red flags. I've decided not to make this a Q&A, since they already have goal sheets to do, and I know why they're coming to me anyway.

Okay, I got some good ideas last night about how I can reward this specific client set for referrals. I'm thinking that 5 referrals prior to the completion of the program will get them a his and hers massage anytime between 1 week and the day of the wedding. This'll have some logistics based on geographical locations, but I don't think it'd be too hard, plus massage therapists are mind, body, and spirit proponents, so they'd be a great referral partner. So I'm going to flesh that out some.

I'm going to try my darndest to get my website fixed once and for all.

And I'm going to choose two of the lists I need to make, potential referral partners beginning locally, and get some names, numbers, and addressed written down. Let's say 15 each. I already have the index cards set up for this; just have to make the lists. Oooh, and I need another index card for massage therapists!

I was getting too long there, had to break this up.

I am getting some oral surgery tomorrow, which requires stitches on the roof of my mouth. Yeah, ouch. This is actually my third round, so the pain is even greater because he is cutting into scars.

Anyway, the point is that I would really like to get 2 or 3 miles in, but the problem with the stitches is that any rise in heart rate tends to send more blood rushing to the wound, which turns into throbbing pain inside my mouth. Again, ouch. So a training walk on Sunday will truly depend on how my mouth feels. I wasn't too bad after the second one, throbbing-wise. After the first surgery, it hurt to walk up the stairs.

I'm praying that he only cuts into one side of my mouth. That makes the whole eating thing a lot easier. The first time, I starved for about 3 weeks. There is very little you can eat that doesn't get stuck in the stitches. And straws are a no go, so diet shakes aren't even that satisfying. Plus, hubby and I wanted to go to dinner tomorrow night to use a gift certificate we got for our wedding, so I really wanted to do that!!

Okay, no more whiney. Here's hoping for a productive walk and a fancy schmancy dinner with my manly!

Yikes, nearly forgot! I also need to do your Q&A, and get my bonus product for the book hammered out.

I'm glad you'll have a few blocks of alone time this weekend to work on your coaching business. I think the welcome package is a great idea, and I love your referral reward idea! I mean, who wouldn't love a massage??

The surgery sounds painful. I hope it goes well and that you recover quickly! I've heard the same thing from my dentist--avoid exertion after oral surgery. Just take it easy and rest. If you get a walk in, that's great. If not, your body needs rest and energy to work on healing and repair. And you haven't been feeling well lately if I remember right, so take it easy!!

If you get too swamped this weekend, the Q&A can definitely wait until you have time. I'll post it whenever you're ready.

Thanks again for passing along your coach's invitation--I'm really excited about that opportunity!

My goals for the week have gotten a bit derailed. It's been cold, windy, and rainy, and I've been fighting off the latest bug, so I haven't gotten much exercise in. I've been slacking off on the writing, but I'm trying not to beat myself up too badly--I do write every day for my blog, and that requires time, planning, research, etc.

Good luck with your surgery tomorrow--I hope you get some rest & enjoy your weekend!

Okay, my website is completely fixed! Check it out: www.freetobefamily.com

I completed my bonus requirements, and I completed your Q&A.

I finished my welcome package, and I really like how it looks.

My surgery went well and I felt pretty good afterward, so we still got to go to dinner, which was amazing!

I'm thinking no on walking today, but hopefully Monday, depending on weather.

The only thing I still need to do is make those lists!

Your website looks great, and the interview will post tomorrow! I was going to shorten it a bit at first, but everything you said was really valuable, so I left it as is. Thanks for doing that!

I'm glad to hear you're feeling well--I'm hoping we both have super-productive weeks!
