Gratitude Journal - Day 7

Published by admin under 101 Things, Gratitude Journal

(One of my 101 things )

Today, I’m grateful that:

  1. I stuck with my gratitude journal all week–it made me feel great and I got to cross an item off my list.
  2. I know what I want to do with my life and I’m working toward it.
  3. My husband and I are planning to move to New York City. It’s such an amazing city, and I can’t wait to call it home!
  4. I started this website. I’ve learned so much and met some amazing people!
  5. I’m closer now than I’ve ever been to truly living my purpose. What a wonderful gift!

Gratitude Journal - Day 6

Published by admin under 101 Things, Gratitude Journal

(One of my 101 things )

Today, I’m grateful that:

  1. I was born in America. We have a lot to be thankful for–from the clean water that comes out of our taps to the freedom to criticize our government. We have so much more than most of the people on earth and we tend to take it for granted.
  2. I get to go out to dinner and dancing with my friends tonight. Welcome home, Florence!
  3. I have so many old friends in the area–there are five people I’ve known for six years, and more I’ve known for three or four. It’s awesome!
  4. My parents are so supportive of my writing. They’re always encouraging me to keep going.
  5. Winter is almost over!!

Gratitude Journal - Day 5

Published by admin under 101 Things, Gratitude Journal

(One of my 101 things )

Today, I’m grateful that:

  1. I have excellent medical insurance–I had about $105k of surgery last year and paid only about $1700 out of pocket.
  2. My husband is already planning for our retirement. If it were up to me, we’d probably be living in a hut on the beach selling seashells. Wait a minute… that doesn’t sound too bad…
  3. I have friends who live in cool places like Vietnam, Italy, and Tunisia. Definitely coming to visit!
  4. I’m a fast learner. It usually doesn’t take me long to pick up a new skill.
  5. I was able to study abroad for two years. It changed my life–no exaggerating.

Gratitude Journal - Day 4

Published by admin under 101 Things, Gratitude Journal

(One of my 101 things )

Today, I’m grateful that:

  1. I’m a fast reader. I can tear through a book–and really absorb it–in an hour or two.
  2. I live so close to my sister and her family. I’m able to play with my baby niece at least every other weekend!
  3. I have a big extended family. I loved growing up with tons of aunts, uncles, and cousins.
  4. We have not one, but TWO, fondue pots. This allows us to make a cheese fondue appetizer and a chocolate fondue dessert without having to wash dishes in the middle of dinner. Mmm… fondue…
  5. My husband is so great at computers. No matter what I screw up on my website or my PC, he can fix it.

Gratitude Journal - Day 3

Published by admin under 101 Things, Gratitude Journal

(One of my 101 things.) Today, I’m grateful that:

  1. My sister and I have such a great relationship–can’t wait to see her tomorrow!
  2. I have such wonderful in-laws. Seriously, they’re generous and kind and understanding and just… perfect!
  3. I have a high metabolism. I haven’t been very consistent with exercise lately, and if it weren’t for the old metabolism, I’d be buying all new clothes. I’m a total stress eater…
  4. I met such great girls in my book club. We rarely read, but we always have a great time.
  5. I don’t give up. I may whine and complain and resist, but I never stop trying.
