Brief (Hopefully) Hiatus Coming to an End Soon

Published by admin at 3:04 pm under Miscellaneous

I know I’ve been totally absent lately, but I promise I’ll be back!

Good news:

  • We got our first ultrasound–the baby looks perfectly healthy (and kind of like a gummy bear)!
  • Work is gradually tapering back to a manageable level of activity.
  • The morning sickness is (dare I say it?) finally starting to subside. I’m almost back up to my starting weight.
  • My hair has stopped falling out. (Note: I was so stressed that my hair was falling out. Yes. It was that bad.)
  • We found a place to live (hooray!) in our current building (double hooray!) which is bigger than the apartment we have now (triple hooray!) and all we have to do is move our stuff down two floors (hooray to the tenth!).

We’re moving this weekend, so I feel like if I can just get through the next week or so–move and get settled in–I’ll be able to get back to regular posting here. I’m sorry I’ve been so sporadic over the past few weeks!

I miss you all!

Woo Hoo! That’s great news about your baby! I must have missed that post - so very sorry that I didn’t offer my congrats until now. I’m happy for you!!!

And I’m thrilled that you find a place at the same building and so close! Looking forward to reading your posts again!

I am glad you are feeling better. If you can’t eat anything at all try potato chips and lemonade. There is a little nutrition and liquid and for some reason I could keep it down. Congratulations on your little gummi bear.

Congratulation on everything! Sometimes we need all of this crazy, overwhelming stuff so we can appreciate the good things in life like a newborn baby, and new apartment! LOL…Can’t wait to hear from you once things have settled somewhat.

Very cool that you’ll still be in your current building, but in a bigger apartment. I’m sure that’s SUCH a huge relief for you on the whole moving-front. :)

Don’t you just love it when life falls into place like that? So glad to hear that your stress level is back in the Almost Kinda Manageable range…nothing worse than growing a cute gummy bear but not being able to enjoy it on account of the bald patches!!

We’ll still be here when you can come back :)

    Well, I’ll be a monkey’s uncle! Hooray!

I vanish for a while and come back to all kinds of great news! I’m thrilled for you on all fronts.

As I write this it occurs to me that I’ve been all out of sorts because I haven’t been reading your delightful blog. : )

Hugs and love and many warm wishes!

Gummi bear? Sounds delicious. Don’t jinx that morning sickness by talking about it! Hope you get moved soon.

Oh it’s so great to have finally found a place, and no big deal to move right downstairs! Better than upstairs. Congratulations.

the hair falling out thing is scary…but then isn’t it supposed to get all thick and luscious later on in pregnancy? That’s what I’d need/look forward to :-)
Your baby’s new nickname is Bear.
