Off to BlogHer
I’ll be flying out of BWI this morning at 11:00 to head out to San Francisco for BlogHer 2008. (Are any of you going, or do you live in the SF area? Let me know!) This will be my first BlogHer event, and I’m really excited about it! So many inspiring women will be there–Heather Armstrong from Dooce, Stephanie Qilao from Back in Skinny Jeans, and the DC area’s very own Zandria (who is the one attendee I’ve met in person), to name a few. It will be a blast!
I’ll be live blogging the conference, so you’ll see conference-related posts from me tomorrow (”Why Bloggers–Even Non-Programmers–Benefit from Participating in Open Source”) and Saturday (”Building Traffic Via Content and Community” and “Blog to Book Redux”). There may be additional posts just to chat about the conference, but that will depend on time–it’s a pretty packed agenda! I can promise that I’ll be posting plenty of photos from the trip next week…
Of course, this conference has me thinking a lot about my website and what I could do to make it better/more useful. So if you have a second, please leave a comment and answer any/all of the following questions:
- How would you rate this website’s appearance and navigability? Is it easy to find your way around, or are there improvements I should make?
- Do you have any interest in using the forums? I added them a while ago and there was some use at first, but then they started getting spammed (I had to delete quite a few threads) and interest in them seemed to wane. Would they be useful to you, or should I remove them?
- Personal development experiments: love them or hate them (reading about me doing them, that is)?
- What topics would you like to see more of?
- What topics would you like to see less of?
- What new topics would you like to see?
- Do you have a favorite Semi-Charmed Wife post? What is it?
I really appreciate your feedback–thanks!
I hope everyone has a lovely weekend, and I can’t wait to tell you all about the conference!

Have Fun!
