Day 30 of Month 359

Published by admin at 6:41 pm under 101 Things

I’m a sucker for infomercials. A while ago, I saw a commercial for an ab video that promised that I could get a washboard stomach without crunches.

Did I ever tell you that I hate crunches? Oh, friends–I do… I hate them.

Anyway, I ordered the DVD a few months ago. It arrived about two weeks later and has been sitting untouched in my bookcase. I finally cracked it open today and I did one of the three ten-minute workouts.

It was… meh. I felt it more in my lower back than my abs. Maybe it’s supposed to be that way? I’m going to try the other two workouts and give it a week or two to see if I feel a difference.

Have you ever made an unfortunate infomercial purchase?

haha…I laugh now, but if it works I’ll be first in line to get one of my own! Actually I’ve never made the infomercial purchase from the tv, however at bed, bath, and beyond they have infomercial stuff at the counter and yes, I am the one who purchases it.

It’s like “hey, I saw this on tv and I wondered if it works…have you tried it?” They always say “No, but I want to and I see people buy it.” Yep, thats me, crazy infomercial watcher - impulsive counter buyer! haha

    I hate crunches too.

The only infomercial type thing I’ve ever bought was Bare Minerals makeup. I LOVE that stuff. I don’t use it fast enough for their auto delivery so I ended up with too much of it but it is pretty great.

Can we say Nads? That Australian wax stuff? It sucked…big time.

I chose to buy Bare Minerals based on the infomercial, but we have their boutique here in the king of prussia mall, so I just bought it there instead. It’s awesome makeup, too.

I’ve tried some of the make-up stuff on infomercials. That’s what I get for waking up in the middle of the night, half awake and making a purchase over the phone. Lol. Definitely a waste of money, but man, do they have good actors to sell stuff sometimes!
