Because My Brain Hurts
It’s been a jam-packed nonstop couple of days, and the next couple of days are going to be even busier. I’m leaving tomorrow to take my grandmother on a trip–that’s one more thing off my 101 Things in 1001 Days list–and I’ve got a ton of stuff to finish up at work and around the house. So… because my brain hurts and I can’t think, I’m posting a meme! I’m not going to tag anyone specifically, but if you want to participate, post these questions and your answers and let me know so I can learn more about you!

Definitely orange.
Are you a morning or night person?
Morning. I’m up by 6:00 am, alarm clock or not, and I’m wiped out by 10:00 pm
Which do you prefer, sweet or salty foods?
Depends on my mood. Generally speaking, I prefer salty snacks, but my sweet tooth comes out in times of stress!
Ninjas or pirates?
Pirates all the way!
What was your favorite childhood television program?
I loved watching reruns of The Herculoids–I think that cartoon is why I love sci-fi and fantasy today!
Are you a collector of anything?
Um… I collect lessons learned the hard way.
If you could be any animal, what would you be?
A PARTY animal!! (ha ha ha!) No, not really. Maybe a platypus?
If you could have any superpower, what would it be?
The ability to speak and understand any language.
What’s your favorite color?
It varies, but right now, it’s lavendar. (I’m coming out of a long “red” period.)
Do you believe in extraterrestrials or life on other planets?
Are you kidding? Abso-fricking-lutely!

When it’s dark and I’m alone in the house, then yes, I do.

A house, because unfortunately, that’s about what a decent-sized house costs in DC.

I’d like to stop comparing myself to others (and of course, finding myself lacking in some way).
Any tattoos or piercings?
Yeah… funny story. The Semi-Charmed Wife was a bit of a wild child in her youth. I got three tattoos, all before I turned 16. I’ve had two removed with lasers, so I currently have one. No piercings except the ears.
Are you mostly a clean or messy person?
I’m a tidy person (no stacks of crap around the house), but not a clean-the-toilet-with-a-toothbrush kind of person.
If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you live?
In a big house by the water with a huge yard and lots of windows. I’m not too particular.
If you could visit anywhere in the world, where would you go?
I’d have a different answer every day, but today, it’s the Greek Isles.
Name one regret you have:
I really regret squandering a FULL RIDE to a great school by drinking so much that I had to drop out after one semester. I finally went back and finished my Bachelor’s and Master’s, but I’ll be paying the student loans until I retire.
You’re about to walk the green mile, what do you have as your last meal?
A call from the governor??? I guess I’d have a filet mignon (rare, of course), a loaded baked potato, corn on the cob, and apple pie with ice cream. And a BIG cocktail.

I’m really really really superstitious. I’ve been known to stay home from work in tears if I break a mirror.
If you HAD to change your name, what would you change it to?
Something less common–I mean, EVERYONE is named Jennifer–but nothing too strange (Apple) or oddly spelled (Bryttani). Maybe Samantha?
Do you believe in the afterlife?
Yes, and I hope it includes a beach, a chair, and a good margarita.

1. Have a child.

(so embarrassing) Saved By the Bell … not really a childhood show, but definitely made saturday mornings worth looking forward too.

I like your answer *party animal* but seriously I think I’d be a Koala, they are such quiet and peaceful animals.

Speed, it would be cool to be able to go where ever I wanted whenever I wanted

Always blue, sometimes the shade varies but it is such a peaceful color…reminds me of the ocean

I’d like to say I have none, but that is not entirely true…i may regret things but there is not a single one I would change if I could do it differently…they make me who I am today and I am ok with me today

We really didn’t watch a lot of TV growing up, the only thing I really remember are cartoons on Saturday - Bugs Bunny was my favorite.

I collect jewelry pieces for making jewelry. Used to collect angels, but I have so many of them that I actually sold the majority of the collection at a garage sale. Used to have a collection of pewter figurines, same thing - sold a good portion of it.

Mountain Lion! or Siberian Tiger (they are beautiful)

When someone leaves and I know it will be for a long duration of time, I get this sudden rush of anxiety (but it passes quickly once I recognize it)
