Hi Jen,

I know this is an older post, but I wanted to comment as I read it a couple days ago. Then I went to Kel's site and read how she was changing things with positive thoughts as well.

I'm so glad you shared your thoughts on this (and Kel too), because today was a day where negative thoughts might have dwelled, expect that I took the time to reflect on them and find the positive. I blogged about it on my site. It's not a huge thing or happenstance that occurred, but rather the insight of your sharing that changed the outcome of my attitude and made it a lot easier to deal with.

So ~ Thank You~ I'm sure you know that what you write has a positive influence on your readers and I wanted you to know it's appreciated!

I do the "I am a bad wife" thing a lot. I feel personally responsible for the cleanliness or lack thereof of our apartment even though I work full time.

I'd like to banish the whole, "I Wish this day would be over already" thought. I do this often when my day is going crappy. While I do want whatever part of my day that I am stressing about to be over, I feel crappy just wishing my days away.

Awesome insight! I agree with you that negative thoughts are very draining on a person and more often than not we are not even aware of the negativity we tell ourselves. (in reference to your previous post) We are our own worst enemy!

Have a great day!!

Morning,

I think most of my negative thoughts stem from what I want to do with my life, career, etc. It's in the creative field so the mental comparison to others is quite draining! I'm working at it proactively because I can't let others hold me back (especially since they aren't even aware that they do)! Another thing is weight but I'm getting a hold on that one, actually.

My mantra for all the "controllers" out there.
"I'm only in control of myself and my actions."

There is another part to it but that's the part I repeat the most.
