I never have any success in my life especially work, relationships, etc. because I never listen to my gut feelings. Because I never listen to my inner voice, I tend to make the wrong decisions and ended up getting myself in trouble. For example, I got interviewed for this job but I had a gut feeling that I wouldn’t get along with my boss because she seems kinda a control freak. And I was right! When I accepted the job offer, the first three weeks of my job was miserable. My boss would watch me like a hawk and stop by my office pretending to look at the files every fifteen minutes! She was always looking over my shoulder and picking on everything I do. She would tell me how to hold my pen or wear my hair. My boss and I argue a lot. She hated me so much. After 6 months of working there, I quit. To my surprise, she was walking around the whole day with a smile on her face when I broke the news to her! I should’ve listen to my intution and never accepted that crappy job!

what was the book?
gavin de beckers gift of fear?
talking about how we are truly just animals (he said it better :)) and posses the TREMENDOUS gift of intuition because of that.

Such a great post. Like you said…I think we’ve all experienced this before. My favorite is mother’s intuition. I know kids hate it, but mom’s sometimes just KNOW.

It took me a long time to listen to my intuition. I never had very good luck with men. When I decided that I would be better off single than in a marriage that was based on lies or relationship that wasn’t meant to be ~ then told myself “it’s not the relationship, it’s me..” I saw the signs all along and wondered if I couldn’t get some of the “hindsight 20/20″ to focus a little earlier… well, I started listening to me (intuition) and am a lot happier now.

So often and especially for women, I think intuition is ignored because it doesn’t have a scientific, measurable approach and gets poo-poohed by society. I say ~ listen to yourself, TRUST yourself and your intuition!

Thanks for the post and reminding us of what’s important. You also stroked my muse’s spirit with some of those lines!

I think you usually can’t go wrong with your intiuition.

Have you ever read the book “Blink”? It talks about intuition, and it’s really interesting and insightful.

I don’t know….my intuition keeps telling me I’m about to win the lottery, and then I don’t match any numbers…. Hmm, maybe that’s something else. lol

Seriously, I’ve had several instances where my intuition just told me to do something or to avoid something, and it was right.
