Gratitude Journal - Day 7

Published by admin at 9:27 am under 101 Things, Gratitude

(One of my 101 things )

Today, I’m grateful that:

  1. I stuck with my gratitude journal all week–it made me feel great and I got to cross an item off my list.
  2. I know what I want to do with my life and I’m working toward it.
  3. My husband and I are planning to move to New York City. It’s such an amazing city, and I can’t wait to call it home!
  4. I started this website. I’ve learned so much and met some amazing people!
  5. I’m closer now than I’ve ever been to truly living my purpose. What a wonderful gift!

What are you grateful for?

I’ve enjoyed reading your gratitude lists! It’s inspiring and refreshing to read (and reflect) on the positive things in life.

Congrats on the move to New York City! How fun and exciting.

This has been a great journal! Last night I found something to be truly grateful for, that I have been a total spoiled brat about. I joke that I have the non-existent husband. Between his time with my stepkids and working the off weekends at his bartending job, I spend a lot of weekends doing my own thing. People are always asking where he is, I miss him, and sometimes I get extremely bitter about him not being with me. Last night, I met a girl who got married in July (exactly one month before us, to the day), and her husband is currently serving in Iraq. That gave me a bit of an attitude adjustment. It may suck that I don’t have him next to me in social situations, but at least I get to sleep next to him even if just for an hour or two every night. Now I’m not saying I won’t get annoyed or whiny about this ever again, but it was a good reminder.

I’m also grateful that it’s St. Patrick’s Day and I am married to a handsome Irishman who will be singing Irish songs and playing his guitar all night long! I can’t wait to go watch him and be the proud Mrs. O’.
